Vegan KO

Since we're in the middle of a heat wave, I decided to make a hot spicy soup for dinner.  Actually, it was the culinary child of stuff I needed to use up from the fridge.  It tastes kind of like canned soup, but not in a stale or processed way, rather in a way that says "focus-grouped". Which is good!  Focus groups signify wide appeal.

Here's the recipe.

Into the BlendTec, raw:
1 whole carrot
2 tomatillos, halved
1 chunk of zucchini
1 chunk of sweet onion
2 cm. of jalapeno pepper

If you have a food processor, that will probably work even better than the BlendTec.  The resulting mixture is similar in texture to a thin salsa.

Into the soup pot:
1 can of lentils, with the brine
the raw vegetable puree
a dash of curry
salt, pepper, and garlic to taste

Simmer the whole thing for maybe five minutes.  Since the vegetables were pureed first, they have the same surface area as like all eight planets plus Pluto.  Consequently they cook very quickly.

Adjectives that could be used to describe this meal are "hearty", "vegan", "spicy", and "tasty".  And a noun is "fusion".
